Mortgage rationing becomes worse Bank of England warns

Home buyers will find it even harder to obtain a mortgage in the coming months the Bank of England warns.Its quarterly survey of lending activity shows that lenders are going to be even fussier about prospective customers.

Number of first time buyers drops to lowest on record

The number of first time buyers has fallen to its lowest since records began in 1974.Around 187,000 people became first time buyers in 2011, which was 7pc fewer than the preceding year and less than half the recent peak of 402,800 seen in 2006.

Property sales hit annual high reports HMRC

Housing market to improve in 2013 suggest official OBR
